Denise Jabaay received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Lewis University and her master’s degree in Social Work from Jane Addams School of Social Work at University of Illinois at Chicago. Her clinical experience includes working with individuals and families.
Denise’s interests include medical, bereavement and empowering women. She has worked with a variety of mental health issues including depression, anxiety, grief and family issues. She has extensive experience working with the geriatric population and those with chronic illness. Denise works from a solution-focused approach and believes that people are the true experts of their own lives. She views her role as someone who provides empathy and support and as someone who can challenge and encourage people to discover new solutions. She believes in highlighting people’s strengths and prior successes as a vital component to the therapy process. She also utilizes cognitive behavioral as well as motivational interviewing and mindfulness practices and tailors her approach to each individual.
